Dawid Sadie – IT Live Managing Director

Dawid is the managing director and founder (in 2004) of IT Live. As an accomplished Senior Systems Engineer on a vast technology stack, he consistently delivers complex projects within demanding time and cost constraints. Confident managing and mitigating risks and issues, whilst maintaining progress in line with project plans. Dawid’s background includes software development, successfully delivering an application connected to NZ PPSR developed on his own and used by many NZ clients. Dawid plays rugby in his spare time if not building something in his garage.

As a team we also sponsor local social clubs. Since 2008 we have annually sponsored the Sky TV in association with NZME “Special Children’s Christmas Parties” event who help children that suffer. The Goal for SCCP is simple: To put Smiles on these children’s faces for at least one day this year!

Giovanni has moved over into sales bring his vast experience to our customer to ensure they get the best outcomes based on their business needs. Giovanni enjoys being a handy man at home when his not cooking up a storm.

Terri Merrilees

Terri has over 20 years’ experience in varied environments in IT industries in both New Zealand and the UK from Corporate, MSP’s and Conglomerate Business Groups. In these environments Terri has covered a range of roles from IT Support and Management, Accounts, Team Co-ordination, Data Analysis, Management reporting, Marketing extractions, Project Management, Training, the list goes on. When not ensuring the IT Live team is delivering a high level of service she is spending time with her husband and two boys; preferably travelling to warm destinations.
Madelaine Luke

Maddy Luke

Madelaine joined the business on January 2019, new to the IT industry and ready for a challenge. Madelaine brings with her over 20 years experience in finance, seven years in payroll, as well as HR and Health & Safety. Madelaine is proud of her NZ Diploma in business achievement and having this diploma gave her a good insight into various areas of business requirements. She wears many hats daily and loves it! In Madelaine’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with her son and dear friends, who is now also her NZ family. Walking on the beach is her favourite thing to do, fresh air and food for the soul!
Grant Charsley

Grant Charsley

Grant has been playing with computers since the early 80’s. Graduating with a B.Sc. in Computer Science he became a network programmer. Later he moved off to become a network consultant on Microsoft and Novell networks. Grant then moved off to take a role as a trainer, teaching part time initially over the weekends. He eventually resigned from his full-time job and started his own business as a Training and Support Consultant. After a short while doing this he was approached by London-based businesses, which saw him travel all over the world teaching technical computer and network courses, train the trainer courses, as well as running the Cisco Instructor exams. He relocated to Sydney in early 2001 where he established a business in Training and Support. Recently moving to New Zealand, he is now proud to be part of IT Live.

He loves travelling, playing squash and tennis, as well as a little golf, time permitting..

Johan Sadie

Johan Sadie

Johan started studying computers in 1966 and went on to work at Pretoria University. During this time he completed courses in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, Philosophy and Psychology.

He joined IBM in 1971 where he maintaining mainframe computers. This saw him fly all over South Africa to fix IBM computer installations. In 1981 he started a computer company with a friend. He sold this in 1996 when he emigrated to New Zealand. Here he worked as a computer technician at a large accounting firm in Auckland. In 1997, preferring to be self-employed, Johan and his wife Erna started their own company, which is still thriving today.

Erna Sadie

Erna has been helping Johan run the computer businesses they had in both South Africa, and now in New Zealand. She is the key to the accounting and ordering that needs to be done in a busy environment. Erna also looks after the accounts for Dawid, doing a great job every month of ensuring money is coming in as well as going out.

Hennie has been playing with computers since the early 80’s. He also loves building up super fast cars.
